We are trying to finish up the master bedroom before Christmas.  We are spending Christmas at the cabin this year and it would be nice to have room for family to stay by then.  My uncle Jeff came for Thanksgiving and generously offered his time and talents to help us get the electrical installed upstairs.  He had great design ideas and we now have five can lights, a center fan, and two sconces wired on either side of where the bed will go.

Rocky Top Installers brought the granite for the wood stove. We chose a leathered granite in black.

It took some maneuvering to get the 400+ pound wood stove placed.

Michael and I worked on placing the trim for the base.

Then I painted the base and finished it up.  I’m currently trying to decide if I want to try a stacked stone veneer, painted brick, shiplap, or leave it as is on the wall behind the stove.

I got the tree up, presents placed, and the dining table set.
