Down to Little Tweaks

We have finished the master bedroom! Trim is on the windows, our new dressers and nightstands are in and the door and floor trim is completed.

Still some minor decorating to do.

Master bathroom is so close. We just need to caulk one joint, add a curtain to the shower, and hang the bar for the shower wand. We will be doing glass doors at some point, but want to finish other little things first.

Still need to remove that tape and caulk next to the shower basin.
We need to attach the bar for the shower wand.

Trim in the downstairs is also completed.

Some of our furniture from the old house is now where it belongs out of the storage unit. It’s starting to feel so much more like home.

We also cleaned out the loft and finished the hardwood there.

The basement is almost fully complete. We still have to finish the hardwood stairs. Once those are done and overhead speakers are in we are taking a break from renovations for awhile. Please note that these pictures are not perfect. While these photos do not show the worst of the renovation filth and grime with stuff piled everywhere, I am also not trying to make it look picture perfect. Living through a renovation is HARD! It’s messy and frustrating! Hubby and I agree we will never live in a construction project again.

These floors have been mopped countless times and drywall dust still shines through.
This pic shows the stairs before the ship lap was stained.
Laundry room is just missing the trim pieces and some quarter round for the cabinets.

Finally we did some landscaping outside.

Ignore the huge hole for a shed coming soon.
Rhododendrons and some decorative rocks add interest to the hill that was re-graded to put in the driveway.

I’m hopeful in the next month we will finish all the tiny little items left on our list so we can do a final before and after post. I love those :). Also hopeful to take the summer off from renovations and just enjoy the water! Finally having the construction materials cleaned up instead of piled around the house makes us feel so much more accomplished and ready for some relaxation.
