Today our house was power washed in preparation for painting happening this week. I wanted a navy blue and after testing our samples, we are going to be painting our cedar siding Gale Force by Sherwin Williams.

I liked “in the navy” top right and “naval” bottom left but in certain lights both reflect purple and I do not want a purple house. The first and last two blues have green in them when the light changes and we want a gray navy so Gale Force is the winner. I can’t wait to see how it changes the look of our lake house. The trim will be painted white. For now the deck will stand out like a sore thumb until we can replace it in a few months. You can see in the picture below that it is leaning due to being installed without proper footers. We have been avoiding walking on it until a new safe deck can be installed. The new deck will have a dark walnut stain.
